A Collaborative process requires the parties to enter into an agreement to deal with the other spouse honestly and fully disclose all assets. The agreement will also state that the divorcing spouses will work through their problems with their attorneys present as opposed to taking the divorce to court. The process is aided by coaches to manage communication, help with a parenting plan and a neutral financial to assist with the finances.
